List of diplomatic missions of Bangladesh

This is a list of diplomatic missions of Bangladesh, excluding honorary consulates. Bangladesh maintains a 'medium' diplomatic network worldwide. Bangladesh has around 47 embassies/high commissions worldwide. In 2008, the caretaker government of Bangladesh planned to open new resident missions in Greece, Sudan, and Sierra Leone and reopen its mission in Afghanistan.

However, early 2009, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh announced that they are thinking of opening few more missions in Eastern European countries like Poland, and Romania, to grow the labour market. As of 30th August 2009, The Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh announced to open 7 new missions in Lebanon, Greece, Romania, Sudan, Angola, Botswana, and Mauritius.

As of December 2010, the Bangladeshi government announced that establishing embassies of Bangladesh in Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and Sudan are at final stage, and in addition to that, 11 new embassies would be established in the coming years in Denmark, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Brazil, Austria, Algeria, Portugal, Lebanon, Nigeria, and Mauritius. Also, Consulate-general offices would be soon established in Milan and Kunming. [1]
